About Us
Who are we?
Scenic Jacksonville is a coalition of residents concerned for the quality of life in the city of Jacksonville. Our constituents include homeowners and businesses who are concerned about our city's deteriorating scenic beauty. We work with our legislators and other elected officials to enlist their support in reducing visual clutter in the city. The coalition's members have no political or pecuniary interest in this subject other than as it affects them and their fellow citizens.
Scenic Jacksonville, Inc. was formed to protect and promote the scenic beauty of Jacksonville, Florida by educating the public regarding visual pollution (such as litter, overhead wires, and sign proliferation, all of which and more can be addressed through beautification projects) and encouraging the adoption of meaningful policies for signs and outdoor advertising.
